The Temple is a Special Place

Dear Shad,

Today grandpa didn't have to go to work so we decided to go to the temple.

It was very windy, but still very hot. You are lucky that it is not still hot at your house.

I love to go to the temple. I feel close to Heavenly Father there. I also feel closer to the members of my family that are far away - like you and Jayce and Mommy and Janaya.

I am glad that grandpa and I and your mom and dad got married in the temple

so our family can be together forever.

Do you remember when you and I went to the temple? It was hot that day too and you liked all the water that you could stick your hands in.

You also liked the giant statue of Jesus in the visitor's center and you wanted to go back and see it again and again. I hope you always remember how much Jesus loves you.

After the temple Grandpa and I went to The Old Spaghetti Factory with Jaron and Christy.

The last time I ate there you and your mommy took me and I got to eat for free because I was a grandma and they were celebrating Grandparent's Day. I am so happy that I am your grandma and not just because I get free food sometimes. You are the best grandson in the whole wide world!
